☘️ 🌈 Happy March! 🌈 ☘️
This is a good month to learn a song in jig or reel time to accompany dancers! A good pianist can play tunes that get people's toes tapping!

🎹 🎶 General Notes/Reminders 🎶🎹
Remember to bring all your music each time even for your memorized pieces. Having a music bag would be helpful! Continue with your new music now that you have the whole piece :-)
Today we went over how to create MAJOR and MINOR CHORDS using the SKIP 3, SKIP 2 method for MAJOR CHORDS and the reverse, SKIP 2/SKIP 3 method for MINOR CHORDS. Play the root note, SKIP 3 half steps, play the next note, SKIP 2 half steps, play the next note. And also how to convert a MAJOR to MINOR chord and vice versa. We also looked at CHORD INVERSIONS, rearranging chord notes. We will use this as we progress.
