🎼 4/4 Time Signatures! Count steady!
🥞 No pancake flat fingers!
Remember the THUMB is FINGER NUMBER 1. The POINTER FINGERS ARE FINGER NUMBER 2.
We need to use BUNNY BOUNCES for all our notes with STRONG FINGERS! NO KICKY FINGERS :-)!
Today we learned about the TIME SIGNATURES and HOW TO COUNT 4/4 TIME so that there are 4 COUNTS IN EVERY MEASURE!
We are practicing pressing all the way down to the bottom of the keys whether we are playing loud (f) or soft (p). Remember that the 2nd fingers are the POINTER fingers on both hands.
When we come to a half note we say the finger number then we say HOLD after it so that it gets the full 2 counts.
We are working on our nice hand shape and not sitting too close to the piano. We need room for our arms to be relaxed. We also worked on our "bunny bounces" for repeated notes in our songs and learned the DYNAMICS for our DYNAMIC DEN game.
We learned p = piano (soft) , f=forte (loud)
pp=pianissimo (very soft), fortissimo (very loud)
mp=mezzo piano (medium soft), mf=mezzo forte (medicum loud)
